Usapang Pulitika sa Facebook: Protectionism, Migration, Oligarchs

April 19, 2010

Meron pa ring paniniwala about “Filipino race” (despite the idea of race bing debunked by the Human Genome project) which is frankly and disturbingly racist. Here’s a definitive statement which blows the concept of “race” – Aryan or Filipino, to Timbuktu.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Human Genome Program devoted 3% of its annual Human Genome Project (HGP) budget toward studying the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) surrounding the availability of genetic information. Some of these projects studied potential effects of ELSI, and others sought to educate professionals through literature, conferences, workshops, and multimedia. Among the programs funded by DOE ELSI were educational materials for physicians, educators, students, clergy, and judges and other legal professionals.

DNA studies do not indicate that separate classifiable subspecies (races) exist within modern humans. While different genes for physical traits such as skin and hair color can be identified between individuals, no consistent patterns of genes across the human genome exist to distinguish one race from another. There also is no genetic basis for divisions of human ethnicity. People who have lived in the same geographic region for many generations may have some alleles in common, but no allele will be found in all members of one population and in no members of any other.

J: Tell me a country na di corrupt ang leader nila…NONE!The only difference is they LOVE their country ..they never kill the GOOSE THAT LAY THE GOLDEN EGG..They take good care of their country..ehs a atin ..wala silang pakialam …pag maghirap ang pinas they just fly to other country.Naku halos mamatay matay na nga mga foreigner dito kakabil ng lupa sa pinas eh …then ang kawawang may ari ng lupa gagawing katulong…sana wag dumating ang time na pati sa sarili nating Lupa eh katulong parin tayo…Para tayong pulubi na nakaupo sa ginto if we only knew how rich we are indeed…

W: I disagree, the people who left the country just had enough of people na walang pakialam. Tulad nyan, ang nakakarami will vote for a done-nothing abnoy – masahol pa sa walang pakialam. Pag pinagsabihan mo, ikaw pa … See Moreang masama. Eh kung gusto nyong ipatuloy ang pagkagunggong nyo, bahala kayo sa buhay noy – yung mga taong nag-iisip will definitely leave the idiots to rot.

Kung gusto nilang magpakatanga, that’s fine – but am not living in a country na puno ng tanga.

This is innacurate – Last time I checked the 1987 Philippine constitution does not allow foreigners to own land in the Philippines – nor can foreigners own more than 40% of equity. So please stop spreading inaccuracies so as not to muddle the discussions.

Moreover – the owners of vast landhodings are NOT foreigners – THESE are FILIPINO corporations – Refer to Sec 10 and Sec 11, Article 12 Philippine Constitution – Please do not spread LIES.

The hacienderos like Mar Roxas, Cojuangcos, Aquinos are FILIPINOS.

The utilities are owned by FILIPINO corporations – PLDT, BAYANTEL, MERALCO, MAYNILAD, ABS-CBN…. See More

Please stop circulating LIES and MYTHS that foreigners own everything in the Philippines, because they DON’T.

If anything, it’s FILIPINOS who are from the landed gentry, the OLIGARCHS (Aquino, Roxas, Cojuangco, Zobel Ayala, Madrigal, etc) – who own nearly everything in the Philippines. These are families who keep the foreigners out para walang competition.

Think about it – who do you work for? RFM? That’s Pinoy? SM? Ayala? BPI? Metrobank? Purefoods? Magnolia? PLDT? GLOBE? BAYANTEL? These are all FILIPINO corporations who pay Filipinos with dirt cheap wages, who bust labor unions – IT’S ALL PINOY.

C: noynoy aquino only have 1% shre in luisita.. now he is willing give up his share.. on process pa nga lg..also his siblings are ready to give up their share

W: Yeah – noynoy is 1% – how about his sibling? and his mom and dad? how much does the entire Aquino family own in HLI? No one has yet to come up with a statement. Yeah distribute HLI in 2014, when all agri lands have been converted to commercial properties – which lead to farmers have nothing to own. Aquinos are SWITIK.
R: Kapangyarihan at Pera! Nakaka-Adik!

.Alam mo ang bagong Gimik ni GMA..if you give 40 job to a filipino that foreigner is allowed to have a residence visa,,,sa tagalog ALILAIN MO ANG 40 NA PILIPINO PARA MAKATIRA KA SA PILIPINAS

W:
Teka, liwanagin to – SINO BA ANG NAGBENTA?

There is no such thing as “Race” – that has already been debunked by the human genome project. Wag tayo magpaka-ignorante and start sounding like Nazi supremacists trumpeting an Aryan “race”

***
That’s a myth – FILIPINOS are ALREADY ALILA OF COJUNGCO, AQUINO, LUCIO TAN, ZOBEL AYALA, LOPEZ, ROXAS, MADRIGAL.

You don’t need foreigners to make you alila – ALILA na kayo ng mga OLIGARCHS. ROTFLMAO –
https://sanamagan.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/weighingscale1.jpgprotectionism-in-the-philippines-ofws-and-broken-homes/

J: That’s true ALILA KAMI NG KAPWA NAMIN PILIPINO…pero mas masakit KUNG MAGING ALILA PA KAMI NG DAYUHAN SA SARILI NAMING LUPA.
As Barth Suretsky, an American expat who lived and died in the Philippines lamented, the fundamental thing wrong with this country is a lack of pride in being Filipino. “ All Filipinos want to be something else. The poor … See Moreones want to be American, and the rich ones all want to be Spaniards. Nobody wants to be Filipino.” No pride, no identity, no recollection of his glorious past that can project him in leading the future of his country. “A people without a sense of history is a people doomed to be unaware of their own identity.”

W: That’s a myth – how come there are 10 million Filipinos working overseas? They would rather be ALILA of FOREIGNER than be alila of FILIPINOs.

Ba’t ka magtitiis sa FILIPINO company that does not pay health insurance, has no dental insurance, has no pension plan, has no retirement benefits, has no job security? MAS MASAKIT YUNG NILOLOKO KA NG PILIPINO. AT LEAST YUNG FOREIGN COMPANIES RESPECT FILIPINO EMPLOYEES…. See More

FILIPINO COMPANIES TREAT FILIPINOS LIKE SH*T. I’ll take the foreign company any time.

****

They don’t want foreign companies in the Philippines dahil mapipilitan silang taasan ang sweldo ng mga Pilipino.

Money is not evil, it’s how you use it which makes it evil.. or divine.

Kahit pa magsakripisyo at … magtiyaga ka – kung yung “long-term” solusyon mo does not include charter change – magdudusa ka hanggang kamatayan, not for lack of trying, but for being plain stupid.

J, all I can say is "Amen".

they pay dirt cheap wages relative to whom exactly? ALL of them bust labor unions?

  2. dirt cheap wages compared to the cost of living.
your questions are answerable by google university, feel free to look it up.

dirt cheap against cost of living? sobra naman. certainly not for all firms and all of their workers.

i also find it highly unlikely that they all bust unions. dont unions exist is at least some of those companies?

  4. If you’re going to waste everyone’s time trying to argue about it, why don’t you do what BongV suggested and look it up, then get back to us with the contrary FACTS, if you find any.

    GabbyD,
“they pay dirt cheap wages relative to whom exactly?”
Relative to BongV and BenK who work abroad. But relative to other Filipino firms, they pay quite ok.

“ALL of them bust labor unions?”
Some AP writers seem to be guilty of throwing around definitive absolute statements most of the time. That’s why it seems they always beg readers to ask them those type of questions. They don’t hedge articles they write and use the absolutes quite loosely.

But don’t get me wrong, I think there is truth in some parts of these articles. The writers are just irresponsible sometimes. But they are Filipinos too, matitigas ang ulo at di nakikinig minsan.

  6. Relative to those who kiss the butts of the oligarchs? You think everyone underpaid is a member of all of them unions?

Sino sino ang mga senators who are in favor of amending the constitution? Let’s list them all here.
